My name is David Mizer—aka “Outback”—and this site is just about my hiking stuff.  In 2018 I thru-hiked the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) from Mexico to Canada.  The same year, I also hiked the Bibbulmun Track from Albany to Perth in Western Australia.  In 2019 I hiked the Colorado Trail (CT) from Durango to Denver in Colorado.  In 2021 I’ll be hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc in Europe, in 2022 the Israel National Trail, and in 2023 (fingers-crossed) the Larapinta Trail in Alice Springs.  If you have an interest in hiking or just want to see what I’m up to, then I invite you to follow along with me!

I take in the world at 3 miles per hour with, As Colin Fletcher hinted, my “house (everything I need) on my back.”  It has been said that the “trail is a teacher” and I believe there is a lot to learn out here in God’s country.
